On 18 June 2021, we hosted a virtual reality activation booth at a promotional event held at Vodacom World in Midrand, Johannesburg, South Africa.
The activation was designed to give Vodacom customers hands-on exposure to immersive virtual reality experiences, showcasing the entertainment, training, and simulation potential of VR technology.

Virtual Reality Experiences Showcased
During the event, attendees were able to experience a variety of high-end VR applications, including:
- Richie’s Plank Experience – A high-intensity simulation where users walk a plank at the top of a skyscraper, designed to create a strong sense of height and immersion
- The Climb 2 – A rock-climbing simulation where players scale challenging vertical environments
- Ocean Rift – An underwater exploration experience featuring marine life and deep-sea environments
- Beat Saber – A rhythm-based VR game where users slice incoming blocks in time with music using virtual lightsabers
These experiences were selected to demonstrate a range of VR use cases, from entertainment and simulation to reaction-based gameplay.
